The Essential Men’s Fashion Edit for 2026

Now that the dust is settling on the end of year festivities and chaos of ‘silly season’, it’s natural that we start thinking about what 2026 holds in store. Along with making and maintaining new resolutions and adding to our bucket-lists, we should make time to think about how we want to present ourselves to the world, and what we can imagine that looks like. Having spent large efforts in giving thoughtful gifts to others, I’m making space to think about what I can gift myself; and if I had an endless bucket of money, and a spark of inspiration, this is where I would start:

Burberry Mid-length Kensington Heritage Trench Coat

£1,895

You can’t go wrong with a Burberry Trench - and this gorgeous shade of Camel is iconic. Paired with jeans or chinos, trainers or boots, it’s warm enough to wear any Winter day in the City, but versatile enough to fare you well any Spring or fresh Summer day.

Although many opt for the traditional full-length classic, my eyes are on this slightly cropped Mid-length cut, which slots in beautifully with the cropped trend we have seen over the last two years in Men’s tailored shirts and tops.

New Balance 9060 Shoes in Sandstone

£160.00

New Balance continues it’s trainer takeover, and although other styles like the 530 and 740 are ubiquitous, when I have seen a man strut down a paved city street in these 9060’s, I can’t keep my eye off of them. They are chunky in the right way, with the perfect amount of style while still staying understated, and screaming: “this is a man who knows how to dress, without trying too hard.”

The Sandstone colourway beckons to the utilitarian trends that have dominated fashion culture in the 2020’s, and can be worn with any everyday outfit - ideal for both the office, and a weekend. The suede overlay lends a touch of high-design, while the fit and quality of materials ensure that this shoe is eternally comfortable.

Salomon XT-6 GORE-TEX in Black

£185

These trainers have been worn only by those in the know… and when I saw them on my well dressed barber at a famous salon in London, I knew I had to have them.

While originally designed for seruous hikers and trekkers, Salomon has quietly become a cult brand for trend-chasers and those who appreciate great design and technicality. The quick-lace system is both innovative and beautiful to use, while the colourways and styles are refreshing unique, while also paying tasteful homage to the futuristic Y2K aesthetic.

Carhatt Double Knee Pant

£120.00

Although fashion trend watched say that the ‘baggy trouser’ trend has come to an end, and that skinny is back in, they wide-leg trouser isn’t going anywhere. Ultilitarian, comfortable and striking, the carpenter and cargo trouser strike a defining sihouette, and these Carhatt Double Knee pants in Hamilton Brown are an essential example of the 2025/2026 aesthetic.

I love this colour, styled with neutral New Balance. Choose a plain or neutral block coloured t-shirt or overshirt to nail a key look for 2026, or wear with an oversized hoodie for the ultimate comfortable look that is also in style.

Weekday Uno Loose Suit Trousers

£49.99

If you can’t bring yourself to go fully cargo with brands like Carpenter or Dickies, or you’re in your late 30s or 40s and want to dress more ‘age-appropropriate’, you can’t go wrong with these Weekday Uno Loose Suir Trousers.

Available in shades like charcoal, dark brown and black, they are well made, versatile, and bang-on trend. I’d love to wear these with a plain white t and chunky shoes - and they are at a reasonable price.

Van Cleef & Arpels: Vintage Alhambra bracelet, 5 motifs

£ 4,250

Van Cleef & Arpels rocketed to the top of every woman’s wish list in 2024, even though the iconic flower motifs of the jewellry has been around for years. I’m a huge fan of men appropriating women’s jewellery, especially if it’s as beautifully designed as the Vintage Alhambra bracelet.

Here, i’ve selected a stunning gold bracelet in Onyx, that I think would suit any discerning man. I’d be proud to wear this day in and out, in any situation, and it screams taste, success, style and beauty. If only I had £4000+ to drop (or someone who would buy this for me) and you would not be able to wipe the smile from my face.

Wax London: Mount - Natural Reversible Boucle Wool Overshirt

£185

Wax made a name for themselves over the last three years with high quality, affordable menswear, specialising in overshirts, coats and shirts like this soft Boucle Wool Overshirt.

It’s a perfect hybrid shirt/overcoat that can be worn indoors our outside, and this colour in Mount can be styled with blue denim or black.

COS - HERRINGBONE RELAXED-FIT WIDE-LEG TROUSERS

£119

COS have long been one of my favourite retailers for menswear on teh high-street, beating H&M for quality and elevated essentials. This wide-leg trouser would become a staple for any man’s wardrobe, in a sophisticated and flattering cut that remains traditional as well as fitting into a 2026 aesthetic.

This dark brown would pair ideally into any neutrals heavy wardrobe, and when styled with a brown belt would give a whiff of relaxed sophistication, while being oh so comfortable to wear.

Polo Ralph Lauren - The Ralph Logo Jumper

£375.00

When purchasing a good jumper, one should take into account not only the quality of the material, but also the ability to repeat-wear over multiple seasons and in future years. This Ralph Logo jumper in white is it! White can be worn forever, in any iteration, and the high thread-count wool will ensure that it will be comfortable for years to come.

The fun and oversized Ralph logo says: “I like fashion, but I don’t take myself too seriously”, while also signalling discernment and a hint of sophistication. With a pair of classic blue jeans and a leather watch, you’ll be ready for any situation, encounter or scene.

Pangaia Mens DNA Hoodie - Raisin Purple

£189

And finally - every man’s wardrobe in 2026 needs one essential hoodie, whether for lounging around on the sofa after work, or on the way to the gym.

Opt for this heavywight cotton hoodie from cult brand Pangaia, for the perfect, slightly oversized fit that reflects taste, while not making you look like a 12 year old. This colourway in Raisin Purple is sophisticated without being tacky, and is unqiue and quirky while still being able to be paired well with any block colours in your staple wardrobe. I love!

Thank you for reading, I hope you get some fresh inspiration for building a great wardrobe in 2026, and let me know with a comment whether you like any of these items, or end up buying something. Have a great rest of your week, Priz xoxo
